Corey Boyer

Director of Admissions PDSO

Corey has served at San Marcos Academy for the last 16 years, occupying various roles during his time here.

Prior to his current work as the Director of Admissions he has served as the Dean of Residential Life overseeing the residential life program as well as the international boarding program. Corey is also the father of two San Marcos Academy graduates.

Mattie has served many years in the Office of Admissions at San Marcos Academy beginning in 1996.

After some time away to start her family, she returned to SMA in 2014. Mattie currently serves as the Assistant Director of Admissions. And strongly believes in the amazing education and experience that San Marcos Academy provides. Her husband, brother and her oldest son are all graduates of SMA, and two younger sons are current students. She loves to meet new families and help students find their place at San Marcos Academy.

Tiffany, while new to her current role, is not new to San Marcos Academy and has played an active role at our school for years.

Four of her five daughters attend SMA and Tiffany has played an active role with our boarding students alongside her husband, a high school math teacher and Boy’s Dorm Director. As a mom she desires to see all students grow in every aspect of their lives, and recognizes the part SMA plays in that process.

Openings & Deadlines


Lower School Admission Deadlines

For students in Grades PreK-5th, the priority admission deadline is February 1, 2023. 

Students who complete files by February 1 will get priority consideration for spaces available and are notified of an admission decision on or after February 15. After February 15, San Marcos Academy considers Grade PreK-5th applications on a rolling admission basis. 

When spaces in any grade level (PreK-5th) are filled, additional qualified candidates are placed into a wait pool for consideration should openings occur.

Middle & Upper School Admission Deadlines

For the Middle School grades, the priority admission deadline for the 2022–23 academic year is February 28, 2022 for students in grades 6-8. Students who complete files by February 28 will get priority consideration for spaces available and are notified of an admission decision on or after March 1. After February 28, San Marcos Academy considers Middle School applications on a rolling admission basis. When all spaces are filled, qualified candidates are placed into the wait pool for consideration should openings occur.

There is no priority deadline for upper school grades, and the admissions committee will meet to consider the applicant as soon as the application process is complete. Parents will be notified of the admissions committee decision, usually within one week. 


Acceptances and Deposits

If a PreK-12 student is accepted, the enrollment responsible parent will receive an email with the enrollment packet and process. They will have one week to complete the enrollment packet and pay the tuition deposit in order to save their child’s spot in the class.

Boarding students pay a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 while day students, PreK-12,  pay a non-refundable deposit of $100.00. New International students must pay a deposit of $7,000 in order for the Academy to issue an I-20 ($500 is non-refundable should the student fail to acquire a visa) All deposits are applied to the total program cost.

Re-Enrollment Process

During the spring semester of each school year, San Marcos Academy extends an invitation to eligible students in grades PreK-11 to re-enroll for the next school year. 

Re-enrollment invitations* are being extended January 31, 2022. The priority deadline for re-enrollment for the 2022-23 school year is February 28, 2022. We will also offer an early re-enrollment discount for families who complete the process by the priority deadline.

The process for re-enrollment includes completing enrollment forms and the tuition deposit.
