The GrandBears Association Membership is your invitation to meaningful moments, unforgettable memories, and a closer connection to your grandchild’s school life. From VIP events and candid snapshots to handwritten notes and exclusive discounts, this membership was created with you in mind.

A Special Way for Grandparents to Stay Connected
At San Marcos Academy, we recognize the incredible role grandparents play in the lives of our students. You are a source of strength, support, and love, and we want you to feel just as much a part of the SMA family as your grandchild.

That’s why we created GrandBears, a membership just for grandparents who want to stay connected and involved.

For $250 per couple per year or $175 for a single-member household, here’s what you’ll receive as a GrandBear:
  • VIP Access to Events
    Invitations to Grandparents’ Day, school plays, concerts, and more — with seats reserved just for you near the front.
  • Six Meal Tickets
    Enjoy lunch with your grandchild on campus throughout the year. These shared moments are what memories are made of.
  • Candid Photos
    We'll occasionally send you snapshots of your grandchild enjoying school life and special events.
  • GrandBear News
    You’ll receive updates during the year, so you stay in the loop with what’s happening on campus.
  • Sabre Store Discounts
    Get special savings on SMA gear and spirit wear so you can support your grandchild in style.
  • Handwritten Notes
    You’ll receive personal thank-you notes from your grandchild. These simple gestures often mean the most.
To join the GrandBears Association and take part in the life of our school community, only one membership is needed per household.
