Bear Network Homecoming Social, Thursday, Oct. 14

The Bear Network (in conjunction with the Cub Network for Lower School) invites all SMA private school families in Texas to enjoy a Homecoming Social from 5-6:30 p.m. on Thursday in the dining hall or on the lawn outside the dining hall. Families can bring their own picnic meal or purchase a meal ticket to eat a great SAGE meal (hamburgers/veggie burgers with tater tots, watermelon slices, and brownies) for only $8. All family members (day students as well as adults and other children) would need a SAGE ticket; these can be purchased in the Sabre at any time next week. If you do plan to eat the SAGE meal, please help us with a head count by submitting this online form as your reservation

Upper School Homecoming Dance, Friday, Oct. 15

Because of the new date for the football game, the Homecoming Dance (originally on Saturday) is moving up to Friday night at our Texas coed School. The dance will be from 8-11 p.m. in the Dining Hall. Attire for the dance is semi-formal and light refreshments will be provided. The cost is still $10 per SMA student (or $20 for non-SMA students) and boarding students are free. Students can purchase tickets here until Oct. 15 at noon. Please select the correct option for each guest. Please note that Friday will remain a regular school day, with classes ending at 3:05 p.m. The rules for SMA Dances are posted in section 308 of the student handbook.

Football Game, Saturday, Oct. 16, 6 p.m. Kickoff

The Homecoming game, which was originally set for Friday, Oct. 15, has been moved to Saturday, Oct. 16, due to a shortage of available game officials. The Bears will take on the Round Rock Christian Academy Knights at 6 p.m. Come out early for pre-game ceremonies, to include the unfurling of the garrison flag on the football field. At halftime, see the Homecoming Court presented and find out who this year’s Homecoming Queen will be. Tickets for the game are available online at HomeTown Ticketing

As always, the Bear Network sponsors Tailgating in the stadium parking lot before every home game. Join the crew, starting at 4:30, to enjoy food and fellowship. Bring an item to share!
